Adults Healing from Childhood Trauma

You’ve been holding yourself together for as long as you can remember. People see you as responsible and caring, but no one truly understands the pressure and internal chaos you manage daily—waiting for the next shoe to drop. Despite the constant anxiety, overthinking, and self-criticism, no matter how hard you try to please others, it never feels like you’re enough.

You hear that you should ask for help, set boundaries, and prioritize your own needs. But sometimes, it feels impossible to even know what you need, let alone ask for it. You may have a sense that your past experiences are affecting your current relationships, but you aren’t sure how to break free. You long for inner peace, rest, and meaningful relationships, but you’re unsure if that’s even possible.

I specialize in supporting women survivors of childhood trauma and abuse. Together, we can work to help you feel confident in managing life’s challenges without fear and anxiety. Through our work, you can learn to honor your own needs and set boundaries without guilt or shame, while dissolving the power of the past so you can embrace your inherent worthiness.

With specialized trauma therapy, we can untangle the underlying patterns keeping you stuck, so you can reconnect to a more authentic, peaceful way of living. Therapy can help resolve the core wounds of childhood trauma that have manifested in behaviors, symptoms, and relationships that no longer serve you. Instead of feeling stuck reliving the past, trauma-focused therapy can help you can finally achieve self-acceptance, build healthy relationships, and experience real-time joy and inner calm.

I am trained in multiple trauma-informed modalities, including EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and NARM therapy (NeuroAffective Relational Model). Together, we’ll develop a personalized approach to meet your unique needs and preferences, helping you heal and reclaim your life.

  • Choice: During traumatic experiences, your sense of agency is taken away. I honor your choices and your readiness to work on trauma at your pace.
  • Safety: Healing requires reorienting your brain and body to the present. Your safety is my top priority, and we begin by addressing any present-day threats to it.
  • Empowerment: You are the expert in your healing process. I help you reconnect to your inherent truth and power.
  • Connection: No one should go through trauma alone. I strive to be a warm, supportive presence, helping you connect with your true self and others.
